We have developed our Learning Programmes to allow students to work towards carefully selected AQA Unit Awards from Pre-Entry to Level 2.
For this Learning Programme these include:

- Introduction to Meditation


What is this Learning Programme about?
This Learning Programme is designed to help participants develop skills in managing stress, anxiety, and relaxation through mindfulness, meditation, and self-awareness techniques.

What will I learn?
Participants will gain an understanding of how their thoughts, feelings, and actions change when they are calm versus when they are anxious.
They will explore their personal fight, flight, and freeze responses to stress and learn techniques to manage anxiety effectively.
They will also learn how to prepare for relaxation, maintain full-body relaxation, and use meditation as a tool for focus, emotional regulation, and stress relief.

What activities will I complete?
Participants will engage in practical activities such as keeping an anxiety diary, practising deep breathing exercises, and using self-reflection to monitor their emotions.
They will take part in guided relaxation exercises, experience meditation techniques, and explore the positive impact of outdoor spaces on mental health.
Additionally, they will watch relaxation demonstrations, contribute to discussions on stress management, and develop a personalised toolkit for well-being.

What will I achieve when I complete?
By the end of the programme, participants will have developed strategies for managing stress and anxiety, built resilience, and enhanced their overall well-being.
On completion, they will achieve four AQA Unit Award Certifications from Pre-Entry Level to Level 1.

What is an AQA Unit Award?
An AQA Unit Award is a Certificate of Achievement from one of the UK's biggest examination boards.
To gain an AQA Unit Award, candidates submit a portfolio of evidence and receive a certificate to recognise their achievement.
The scheme boosts confidence, increases engagement and improves motivation, helping students to make progress, build their CV and prepare for future qualifications.
